Celebrating

Today we are having a party for Grant. I can't believe he is 9! He is starting 4th grade this year. He decided he wanted to just have a few friends go bowling and have cake after. He wants a Harry Potter cake. So we bought a kit from walmart to decorate a cake at home. Its gonna be pretty cool. Pictures later!

Its been almost a year...

since I posted! I can't believe it! I am so slack! I am going to try and post more this school year. I can't believe that Grant is going into 4th grade! And Logan is starting his last year of preschool! My boys are getting so big! Daniel finished his masters program. Can't wait till the opportunity comes for him to be an assistant principal. He will be great at it! I am still at the preschool where Logan goes to school. I assist in the One year old class. Its great! I can't wait for the new school year to begin. I am also a consultant for Thirty One gifts. If you wonder what that is, click on the link to my website to the right. Not much else to say right now. I am going to try and post something every day from now until this time next year so be ready for lots of updates! I can't always promise the posts to be long but at least try and post some pictures or something. I have to get better with this.

Summer

Its the end of July already! Grant will be 8 years old in 3 days! I cant believe how quickly this summer has gone. We haven't done any major traveling. We did go on a camping trip with our church family and that was awesome. We rented a cabin...i don't do tent camping LOL It was a great time to get to fellowship with our friends. We have also been taking alot of day trips to go see Daniel's mom. She is still fighting liver cancer. Keep her in your prayers please.

Grant starts the 3rd grade this year! I cant believe it! I have a third grader! time flies by so fast. He has gotten so tall too. He is really excited. We bought his school supplies the other day and he was soo excited. I remember enjoying picking out new notebooks and pens and pencils. and the coolest pencil box. That was always so important in elementary school. He wants to use his pirates of the Caribbean book bag again this year. That's fine with me. :)

Logan will be going to 3yr old preschool this year. It is 5 days a week. I am so excited about this because I will have Fridays off...but he will have to go to school. So I will have Fridays all to myself! I can't wait! the thought of being able to go do errands or even just clean the house without interruption gets me all giddy! Isn't that sad?

That's it for now. Sorry for my slack blogging.

Blog Name

I really want to change the name of my blog but I dont know what to call it. So please if you can think of a cute name for the blog please comment!

LIFE

Well its been awhile I know..... but we have been super busy. Logan turned 3 last month. He is growing up so fast. The last two weeks we have been working on potty training. I think we have almost finished it ....we shall see.

Grant is doing really well. He tested for Gifted and Talented for school next year. He is really proud of himself. I can't believe he starts 3rd grade next year!

Daniel is busy as ever. From what it looks like he will be graduating in December with his Masters. He is working this summer with summer school and getting internship hours for his grad classes.

Me? Well.....I am doing pretty good. I am really loving my life. I have two wonderful boys that keep me on my toes. I have the most amazing husband that works so hard for me and the boys. I have great friends. And the best church family a girl could ask for.

Flag Football

Grant attended a Flag Football Clinic with Roar Sports. It was awesome. He loved it. So we signed him up for the summer season. The clinic was free and along with the experience, the kids were each given a bible, a water bottle and the movie Facing the Giants.

Ben Watson, a player for Cleveland Browns, who graduated from Northwestern here in Rock Hill was the one who taught the kids how to throw a football, catch, and pass also. He was a really nice guy. Daniel taught his younger brother at Rock Hill High.

There is my little man running with the football! We will have many more pics as the season goes. It doesnt start till June.

Life....

I can't believe how bad I am at posting anymore. Life is really busy for the Beasley Family.

Logan has moved into a toddler bed. He did awesome with the change too. Didn't get up one time! We bought him a Toy Story bed so he was really excited about it. The crib and changing table have gone to a new home already. I am sad about it but at least I know I will get to visit it once her baby comes. Silly aren't I? Logan is also talking soooo much now! Can't keep him quiet! LOL He loves school and has made lots of friends. His favorite thing to do is to play with his FisherPrice Trio blocks. He also has found a new love of going to the library. He and Grant are like best friends. They have thier days of course. But for the most part they get along great.

Grant is such a smart kid! We are pretty sure he is going to be gifted and talented. We havent gotten the results yet. He loves to read! He gets so excited when he gets a new book. He loves the Captain Underpants series. (silly name for a book!). He has like 3 or 4 books in his book bag because he never knows which one he will want to read! So much like me as a kid but he gets his school smarts from Daniel. The kid can multiply in his head. It takes him like 5 minutes to do a worksheet of double digit math homework! Its crazy! He also loves art. He is always coloring or drawing. OH...and he loves Church! He absolutely loves it!

Daniel is still working on his masters. He thinks he may be done in December! He such an amazing man. He works so hard so I can pretty much stay home with the kids. And it works for us. I love my job in life :) I also love working at the day school. Its nice to be around other adults.

I am really going to try and post. As soon as I upload new pics I will post. I need to take pictures of Logan in his toddler bed. We also need to take the boys to get new pics done.

OH! Grant is most likely going to play flag football! He has a clinic with real NFL players this weekend.

Hopefully one day Logan will be this good with Santa.

Pumpkin Carving

Last Saturday, Grant woke up not feeling so good. Took him to the doctor and he had a fever but it was just a head cold. He is fine now! But we were supposed to go to a halloween festival and then to the church picnic and since we couldn't, we grabbed lunch at Moe's (Grant's FAVORITE), rented some movies, and bought some pumpkins. After Grant took a nap and we ate dinner in, we decided to carve the pumpkins. Grant wanted a pirate and Logan wanted Buzz Lightyear. Daniel free handed Grant's pumpkin and we bought a kit for Logan's. Here are the finished results!

The boys with thier pumpkins. Logan was sooo excited! I dont think he really remembers Halloween from last year.

This is Grant's pumpkin! Daniel did so good!!!!!

This is Logan's pumpkin! I think I did pretty good! So glad we bought this kit!

This weekend is Halloween. Grant is going to be Jack Sparrow again. Logan is going to be Buzz Lightyear! I will post pics as soon as I can after Halloween!

Grant's First Day of 2nd Grade

Sorry I didnt post this yesterday. I was going to but I got distracted! Grant had a wonderful first day. He came home and was all happy that he has two of his really good friends from 1st grade in his class. He said he likes it but they didnt really do anything too much the first day. So hopefully today he will get more out of it LOL. I can't believe he is in 2nd grade. I still remember the day we brought him home from the hospital. He was such a good baby and has grown up to be such a wonderful boy. So here is a pic of Grant on his first day of 2nd grade.

It has been a LONG time!!!

WOW! According to this thing it has been since April that I updated this thing!!! That is just too long! Sorry!!! It has been a crazy few months. Back in May, My baby boy, Logan turned 2!!!! I can't even believe it has been two years already! I can't imagine life without him now. He is our little ham though. He loves to have his picture taken, loves to be tickled and he loves to make us laugh. He is also a little copycat! He does everything Grant does. Grant has to be very careful now about what he does so Logan doesn't hurt himself. Logan is talking more and more. His favorite way of being involved in a conversation is by saying the last word he heard someone say! LOL It is so cute. He will be starting two year old preschool in the fall. Just two days a week but with the way he loves to learn new things, I think he will want to go more!

Grant will be 7 in about two weeks. SEVEN!!!! I have a second grader now. I still remember the day we brought him home from the hospital. It is so wierd to have him be this old already. He is already into girls a little bit! LOL He is always looking. I guess it is a boy thing. He blushes when we notice. He is still my baby boy! He and Logan fight over me alot. But I guess that is normal. He is an awesome big brother. He shares everything with Logan.

We are in the process of moving the boys into one room with the bunkbeds and then have a playroom in the other bed room. Grant is very excited about this because alot of his friends have playrooms in thier houses. I think it will be good for them to share a room. I dont know if Logan is ready yet though. He loves his bed!!!! When he does wake up he just starts playing with whatever he has in his bed. He doesnt cry or anything. He also hasnt even bothered to try and climb out. But I know he will have to leave the crib soon. It just makes me sad.

Life with Daniel and I is going well. He is getting his masters in Administration right now. He is very excited about it. This fall I will be watching a friend's baby while she goes back to work. That should be fun!

Well that's it for now. I will be back though, I promise. I have to keep this more updated. I have uploaded more pics to my web album if you just follow the link!!!!

Spring Break 2009

Spring break was great! The first part of the week was Easter. We went down to Hartsville for April's wedding and then spent Easter Sunday with Daniel's family. Monday we went bumming around Pineville to get out of the house. Tuesday was pajama day! LOL Wednesday we took the kids to the park and hung out together. Thursday we went to Discovery Place. It was our first time going. It was great! The kids had a blast! Someone pulled a fire alarm so we were outside the building for about 20 minutes while they checked the building! Logan wasn't too sure about all that. Friday we went to the Zoo with friends. It was AWESOME !!!! I have tons of pics but I posted my favorite one on here. I will upload the pics to my web album so you all can look! ( You gotta see the Gorilla pictures and I am not talking about the kids LOL).

The boys at Discovery place. They are standing in front of the blue screen that weathermen use. Logan was being silly!
.

Here are my boys looking at the elephants. Grant was helping us get a pic of Logan looking at them. I love this picture!

Then Friday night we hung out with Kelly and Paul for a little while. Then on Saturday we hung out at home and then babysat our friends kids Lexy and Zach ( the same kids in the zoo pics on the web album). We took all the kids to see Hotel for Dogs at the dollar theater. Then Sunday was Church and then resting up for school and work the next day.
