Kelly's Vase

I wanted to do something special for Kelly and her new office. So I bought a ceramic vase and had them glaze the inside so it could hold fresh flowers. I wasn't sure what to do with it at first. And then I had a brillant idea!! I painted it green and then put blue, yellow and red puzzle pieces all over it. And of course I bought flowers for it. From what I could find on the internet, Yellow flowers mean friendship and cheerful thoughts. So I went to Walmart and found the prettiest yellow tulips that looked really fresh. They were perfect. And I put them in the vase for Kelly. I gave it to Kelly tonight. I think she loved it!!! I am excited about seeing it in her office at the center. And of course I am including pictures for you all to see!

I was very proud of myself for painting this! I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Lexington BBQ Festival

We went to the Lexington BBQ Festival in Lexington,NC this past weekend. It was alot of fun. We went with Kara and Jeremy Burkholders. The Edinger's were supposed to go but they had some friends from out of town come visit. So they will go next year!!! The BBQ was really good. I loved how finely chopped they made it. The picture below is of the sand sculpture that they make every year. They start 8 days before the festival in order to have it completed in time for the festival.

This is a close up picture of the sand sculpture. Grant got a kick out of it.

This picture we took for Kelly. We thought it was cool. It was next to the sand sculpture. I am not sure what building it was in front of but I thought it was cool that they had it on main street. They also had a booth for the Autism Society of North Carolina. You paid a dollar to pick a duck and get a prize. Grant got a glow in the dark bouncey ball and Logan got a spikey yellow ball.

It was the 25th annual festival. They had balloons like this all up and down Main Street. Logan kept asking to touch them! It was cute!

Grant and Logan got those frisbees for free. Logan's kept falling off his head. Oh, and just to share, we got Logan up that morning at 8am and he didn't nap till we were on our way home at like 3 that afternoon. He was such a good boy!!! Let's hope he does as well at the Renn Fest this weekend!!!!

LOGAN IS 16 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!

Logan is now 16 months old. We just had his check up. He is 33 inches tall and 25 pounds. He is the biggest 16 month old I have ever seen. But he isn't fat, he is solid. He loves to eat. He really like fried rice and fried chicken. He loves french fries. He likes fig newtons. He says ball, dada, bubba, mama, kitty, Nat (the cat's name), down, food, no ( sometimes), yes, booka (book), bumblebee, Pooh as in Winnie, PaPa CooCoo means cookie. He tries to say Kelly, Paul, and Grandma. We are working on it. When Grant comes home from school and we do homework at the table, Logan has to be in a chair at the table with a crayon or pencil and some paper coloring. It is so cute. I will be taking pictures of that soon. He is getting better about riding in the car. He doesn't scream when he wants something anymore, He can say That or this and he points at what he wants. He loves to sleep! Some days when he is tired, I can ask if he wants to go to bed, and he will run to his crib and try to climb in it! He takes a 2 hour nap everyday and sleeps like 12 hours a night. But he is so full of energy when he is awake! He wants to be just like Grant. He loves to look at books and be read to. His favorite shows are Handy Manny and Winnie the Pooh on disney. And he still loves his blankets! He has two of them in the crib with him at night!

There is Logan kissing the cat!

Logan and the cat.

Logan feeding himself!

Logan feeding himself again! He insisits on a spoon or fork all the time now! It is so CUTE!

I hope you enjoyed your update on Logan! Stay tuned for more :)
