Another year has gone by.......

Another year has gone by. The older I get the quicker the years go. I woke up the other day thinking, wow, I will be 29 this year! and then I thought THAT MEANS I WILL BE 30 next year. That means I am in the last year of my twenties. I can't even believe that. So much has happened since I turned 20. My parents split. I married the most wonderful man ever. I have the most handsome well behaved (most of the time) two little boys. Daniel and I bought our first house almost three years ago. I didn't go to my ten year reunion, but I am so going to the 20th. I found Kelly, who has become one of my best friends and a wonderful neighbor. I have learned how to budget money thanks to Daniel. I am so lucky to be able to stay home with my boys and take care of them. I have reconnected with my sister and her family, which is one of the best things to have happened in the last year. I got to see her and her family for the first time in eight years this past summer. It was so amazing. My friend Sarah had her first baby this year. Little Emma. What a blessing she is to Sarah and Matt. Her smile lights up the room. Kelly and Paul and Daniel and I have become pretty close as friends. We have such a blast together. This past summer we went to Atlanta to meet up with Sarah, Matt, and baby Emma. It was so much fun! Daniel and I had never gone on a trip with friends like that before. It was great. Hopefully we can do that alot more. My best friend since 7th grade, Liz, has FINALLY moved back to SC. Her and her husband now live in Greenville. They came to Grant's 6th birthday party. It was great! We are hopefully getting together again. soon. We also found a wonderful Church family at the Charlotte Ave. Church of Christ. And because of that we have made friends with Kara and Jeremy. God has blessed me and my family so much over the last 8 years. I know God will continue to bless us as long as we put everything in his hands. I hope all those who read my blog can look back over the last eight years and feel happy as I do.

No More Curls!!!!!

I knew this day was coming but I didn't expect to be so sad about it. I gave Logan his first haircut today. I had to cut off his curls. I loved his curls. But his hair was getting really long for a boy and too many people were calling him a girl. Even some people who know he is a boy. He did pretty good during the hair cut. Towards the end he was getting fussy. But I think I did a pretty good job. It just made me sad to see the curls go and my little baby boy turn into a big boy in a matter of 30 minutes. Daniel's mom is paying for the boys to get Christmas pictures this weekend. So he will be so cute in them I think. I just thought I would share his first haircut with everyone.

The Best Husband Ever.....

Daniel is the best husband and father anyone could ask for. He has been busting his butt this year to make sure that the boys and I have the best Christmas ever. Because I could not get work this year, money has been tight. Daniel has been working 4 jobs to make sure we would have enough money for Christmas. He teaches at the high school, of course that is his main job, he tutors at the high school in the mornings, He tutors a girl from Fort Mill every Monday afternoon. and on Tuesday and Thursday nights he works at Winthrop. He is just amazing!

In order to have a good Christmas, Daniel and I decided not to get each other anything for Christmas. We also decided not to give anniversary presents to each other. We just asked my mom to send us a gift card so we could eat out for our anniversary. That is really all we wanted.

Have I mentioned how sneaky Daniel can be????

While at his parents house for Thanksgiving, there was a jewelry store going out of business and with his mom's help ( she picked it up for him because he was with me in Sumter that Wednesday before Thanksgiving). He surprised me with the most beautiful necklace. It is a white gold circle of hearts pendant with a diamond in each heart. I was so surprised!!!!! I cried because I can't do anything for him. And he said that he didn't care but because I do so much for him and the kids that he couldn't stand for me not to get anything so he made sure he could do this.

How awesome is he? I can't believe how lucky I am!!!! Now everyone go hug your husbands for all the wonderful things they have down for you!

Thanksgiving......

Thanksgiving was alot of fun. We went down to Daniel's parents in Hartsville on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and stayed till Sunday. It was nice getting a break from Rock Hill. Every now and then you just gotta get away. Wednesday we went to Sumter to see my old friend Stephanie Knight (now Brown) and her three boys! I couldn't believe that we were together with our children. It is crazy how much has changed in ten years since high school. Thanksgiving day was awesome. The food was amazing! We ate at Daniel's Grandma's house. After dinner we went outside so all the kids could play and Daniel got the kids raking. So that led to the adults raking ( I got out of it because I had to follow Logan :) ). So we had a raking party and then by the time that was done they started shaking the pecan trees to get the pecans down, so all the kids were picking those up. By the time we were done with all of that it was time to eat again. So we ate and then we went back to Daniel's parents house. I gave the kids a bath and Logan was asleep by 8. We went to bed shortly after because we were getting up at 3am!!!! to go out Black Friday shopping.

Friday was actually kinda fun. We got up at 3am and so did Daniel's mom. We took Logan with us and left Grant with his PaPa. Which I think they were both excited about. Lynn, Daniel's mom, waited in the car while Daniel and I stood in line at Toys R Us. About 10 minutes before the doors opened Lynn and Logan joined us in line. It was so crazy in there! But we got what we wanted or we got what the kids wanted! LOL Then we went to Target. After getting what we needed we got in line. And Logan fell asleep in my arms. So we are standing in this insanely HUGE line and I can't take it anymore so I head up front to go sit in the little food place with Logan because he is so heavy when he is asleep. Well, when I get up to where the lines are, I realized that there were other shorter lines. So I get in one and call Daniel to come up and get in line with the stuff. Well, while I am waiting someone gets in line behind me and after Daniel and Lynn join me with the buggy, the woman gives me attitude!!!!! It was crazy! I mean really, like she has never held a place in line for someone before! ugh, It made me a little mad.But I was polite and Daniel said that if she didn't want to wait in lines behind people then why is she out shopping on Black Friday. So we went to other stores and shopped and got home around Noon. Logan was the best little boy ever.

That was our Thanksgiving. Hope you all had a good one too!

Reba and Kelly Concert!!!!!

Well as some of you know, I got to go to the Reba and Kelly Clarkson Concert this past weekend. And a big thanks to my MOM!! because she bought me the tickets as an early Christmas presents. It was AWESOME!!!! They are amazing together. I have wanted to see Reba in concert since I think I was 11 or 12 maybe. We were right on the floor, about 20 or 30 rows back. Well I got Daniel to go down front and get some pictures of them right at the beginning.

There is Kelly. Looks like she posed for Daniel! Oh, and for those who don't know the story, Kelly is going to be Daniel's second wife. He says he married me for Love and will marry her for money. So he was okay with going to the concert even though he isn't a big fan of country music. He went because he knew it was something I have always wanted to do! Such a wonderful husband!

And here is Reba posing for Daniel!!!!!

There they are together!!!!

If you have seen the REBA tv show then you know who the woman on stage with Reba and Kelly is........Its Barbara Jean!!!!! She came out when they started singing the theme song to the show.

This is them coming out for the finale. They ended the show with Fancy by Reba.
I gotta tell you. If you can go see either of them or both in concert. GOOOO!!!! It was great!
