Logan's One Year Check-up

Logan had his one year check up today. He is in the 95 percentile on everything. He is 31 inches tall. He weighs 25 pounds. The doctor says he is doing great! He is also impressed with how we are handliing discipline with Logan. He said if he gave out gold stars that I would definitely get one. He got two shots and his finger pricked. He did good. He only cried for a minute. His next checkup in september is when he will get 3 or 4 shots at once. That might not go so well. Logan is growing so fast!!! When he and Grant stand next to each other, Logan is above Grant's waist!

Logan's Favorites :

Logan loves fruit, Mcdonalds chicken nuggets and fries, and my teriyaki chicken that I make. He still doesn't like carrots or mashed potatoes. He also doesn't like to see other people eat. If he sees you eating, he demands that he has some too! The kid will try anything once. Its a nice change from Grant who still won't always try stuff, but he is getting better at it.

Toy: He still loves his big brother but he loves balls and balloons. He also likes phones. And anything that Grant is playing with he wants it too.

He loves his blankets too. He loves to fall asleep while we rock him and cuddle with his blanket. And thank goodness he doesn't care what blanket and so he isn't attached to anyone inparticular.

He still has an amazing smile. When he is being silly he wrinkles up his nose at you!

He now has 8 teeth but he eats like he has a whole mouth full of them.

He is just moving everywhere. If you put him down he only has one direction. Straight. The minute he hits the ground he just takes off.

He loves to dance. Anytime he hears music he starts to boogie. He also dances when we sing "shake, shake your booty!". In the car when he gets fussy sometimes we can play the song "Love Song" By Sarah Barilles. He really likes that song.

When he is all done with his food, I put my hands up and say "all done!" and now he does it all on his own but he just says "ah!".

That's it for now but if you have your own memory of something Logan has done around you then please share it with me by leaving a comment or emailing me!

A New Arrival.....

My friend Cami had her baby this past week. His name is Xander Griffin Brooks! He was 7lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. She had to have a c-section because he was breeched. She did really well. And Xander is so cute. Cami and I went to high school together and were college roomates. She and I lose touch every now and then but we are always there for each other. I am so happy for her. She is going to make a wonderful mother. Here are some pictures of Cami and Xander.

A Beasley Update...

We are doing really well. We have been busy with going out of town on the weekends. We will be home the next two weekends though. This weekend we are going out to dinner with Kelly and Paul for Kelly and Daniel's birthday. Sarah and Matt were supposed to be here for that too. But sadly, they won't be able to make it. Grant and Logan are going to a friend's house that night also, so it will be a real DATE NIGHT!!!

Then next week, we will be getting ready for Grant's birthday party. He will be turning 6 on august 1st. Can you believe it? He will be going to first grade this year. It is crazy how fast they grow up.

That is Grant on the day he was born. I will be showing more of these when I do his blog on his birthday.

Well that is all for now. I will blog again soon!

Shake Shake Shake...Shake your booty

This is a video of Logan dancing to me saying "Shake shake shake...shake your booty"! He is starting to try to say shake shake also. It is a really cute video! Hope you enjoy!

Fourth of July '08

We spent the Fourth of July in Hartsville with Daniel's parents. One of the churches down there has a really great fireworks show. We also sold my old red escort. Kinda sad. I had that car in college but it needed to go.

Here are some pictures of the day.

There is Logan laughing at his PaPa! Logan said papa this weekend and made Danny's day!

There is Grant sitting in his Grandma's lap at the fireworks.

Logan has one of those light up things on his head.

Logan in Grandma's lap. A few minutes later she let him on the ground and found out how hard it is to chase after him. He loved it though. He would runaway from her giggling. But we told her if she put him down that she would have to chase him. She didn't mind a bit!

Now, the picture above was taken with Grant's brand new digital camera. He had most of the money but we helped. It is part of his birthday. Here is a video of the finale of the fireworks taken on Grant's camera.

Hope you all liked the video. Grant is very excited about his camera.
