Grant's Ladybug House

Last night Grant found a ladybug and wanted to keep him. I told him I didn't know what we could put the ladybug in. So my little man went in the house and found this shoe box. And He said we could put windows in so we can see the lady bug. And I was really impressed with this idea so I said okay. And we went and cut out windows and I taped parts of a ziploc bag inside so we could see the ladybug. Grant got some leaves and sticks to put in the box. He took it to school this morning to show his class because they are talking about insects right now.

We put windows on each side. Grant was really excited about this project.

If you look closely you can see the little orange blob that is a lady bug!

First T-Ball Game

This was his first time up to bat during the game. I think he was a little nervous!

He is right in the middle there with the ball about to throw it to first base.

He is watching to see where the ball is going to go so he can hopefully catch it.

I am not sure who "won" but Grant did an awesome job out there and had lots of fun!!

T-Ball Practice

Finally! Here are pictures of Grant at T-Ball practice. His first game is this Saturday. So there will be more pictures soon!

Chair on the go......

We bought one of those travel seats for Logan so when there isn't a high chair we can use it, like at My mom's house and Daniel's parents house. Well, right now it is in the house because we grabbed it out of the van when we came back from Mom's. Well, I used it today because Logan just wanted a quick snack. So I had him in the chair in the living room. I got up to put the food away and when I turned around He was crawling with the chair attached to him. I laughed so hard and ran for the camera. Here are the pictures. I hope they make you laugh too.

He tried standing up with it on, but that didn't work.

It was like he didn't even now it was on him!

The view from the back.

Here he comes!

There he goes!

My Field Trip by Grant

Today I went on a field trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch. Mommy was not able to go with me because of Logan. I had alot of fun today. We rode in wagons around the zoo, it was kinda like a hay ride but there wasn't any hay. I got to feed a giraffe.

And I fed a pig. I got to feed a Lama too!

I saw some bulls there too!

They had a goldfish pond.

I fed goats too! There were sheep too!

I didn't get to feed the camel but I saw them!

So that was my trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch. My favorite animal was the giraffe. I really liked the zebras but they wouldn't let us feed them because they bite sometimes. Now I have to go have my after school snack and play with Logan.

Spring Break In Maryland

For Spring Break this year we went to Maryland to see my Mom. It was alot of fun. Well, the ride up wasn't any fun. We decided to drive at night in hopes that Logan would sleep most of the way. Well, of course that did not work out. Logan cried and screamed for about 4 hours of the 8 hour trip up there. All that made him happy was to have a bottle, and I know all the books say not to give in at times like this, but I don't think that the people who write those books have ever been in the car with a screaming 10 month old for four hours. So We kept giving him bottle after bottle. We tried to wait two hours but he would just scream. So after four bottles and four and a half hours of screaming, he fell asleep almost all the way there. We got to Mom's house around 2 am Saturday morning. After unloading and getting Logan back to sleep. We went to bed at 4 in the morning. That Saturday we spent indoors because we were all so tired.

On Sunday, We went to Washington. It was so much fun. We rode the Metro into the city because it is really hard to find parking spots at the mall. We went to the Natural Museum of History. Here are some pictures of our Sunday in Washington.

Mom and Logan on the Metro.

Ernie, Mom, and Grant on the Metro.

Logan on the Metro. Mom learned quickly that Logan does not like to wear shoes. He kept kicking them off and she kept putting them back on. After the third time, she put his shoes in the basket under him. It was fun to watch.

This is a giant sloth!

That is the T-Rex. The yellow blur underneath it is Grant. The camera took a lot of blurry pictures and the batteries kept dying. And of course after this trip to Washington I left the camera in the van and didn't get anymore pictures. Sorry Kelly! :)

A dinosaur! (not sure which one)

The Woolly Mammoth!

We thought this was pretty cool. We tried to get Grant to stand next to it, but he wasn't in the mood to do a picture.

This is the church that the President attends.

The Washington Monument.

The Capital Building.

This is a picture of the Cherry Blossoms that bloom in Washington. I took this picture from my friend Danielle on Facebook. We didn't make it down to the Cherry Blossoms because it was too cold and it was late by the time we left the museum.

It was a really good visit. We spent alot of time with Mom and Ernie. I am a little sad we didn't get more pictures, but that my luck with cameras and I really don't know why we didn't use Mom's camera. But I promise next time we see them, which will be this summer at the beach.

Oh!!! Before I forget, Logan took his very first step at Mom's house. He walked three steps to me all by himself. He keeps trying to do it but he is now a little hesitant but he got a walking toy that he can push and walk with and he loves that. He giggles when he does that. Pictures of that to come.

One Mom's Opinion

I just wanted to voice my opinion on circumcision. I think it is a great thing for the health of boys. But if you have a baby boy make sure that the doctor that performs the surgery puts a ring on the baby. This prevents the skin from adhering back onto him. If you don't have the ring then there is a good chance that you will have to take your little baby to a urologist and have them cut the skin again. I had to do this today. Poor Logan. He is okay now but it was not a fun process. When I told the doctor that the surgeon did not put the ring on and that I thought that was the cause of the problem, she agreed with me. She said she wishes more doctors would use the ring to prevent the babies having to go through unnecessary procedures. I just wanted to share with other parents.

Shocking.....

Kelly has already posted this video but I want to post it to. I think most Christians will feel the urge to share this too. Kelly is right. This is yet another obstacle for us as Christians to over come. I have always liked Oprah and I think she does do alot of good for people. But this is hurting her and all the people that will do whatever she says because she is Oprah.
