I knew this day was coming but I didn't expect to be so sad about it. I gave Logan his first haircut today. I had to cut off his curls. I loved his curls. But his hair was getting really long for a boy and too many people were calling him a girl. Even some people who know he is a boy. He did pretty good during the hair cut. Towards the end he was getting fussy. But I think I did a pretty good job. It just made me sad to see the curls go and my little baby boy turn into a big boy in a matter of 30 minutes. Daniel's mom is paying for the boys to get Christmas pictures this weekend. So he will be so cute in them I think. I just thought I would share his first haircut with everyone.

The Best Husband Ever.....
In order to have a good Christmas, Daniel and I decided not to get each other anything for Christmas. We also decided not to give anniversary presents to each other. We just asked my mom to send us a gift card so we could eat out for our anniversary. That is really all we wanted.
Have I mentioned how sneaky Daniel can be????
While at his parents house for Thanksgiving, there was a jewelry store going out of business and with his mom's help ( she picked it up for him because he was with me in Sumter that Wednesday before Thanksgiving). He surprised me with the most beautiful necklace. It is a white gold circle of hearts pendant with a diamond in each heart. I was so surprised!!!!! I cried because I can't do anything for him. And he said that he didn't care but because I do so much for him and the kids that he couldn't stand for me not to get anything so he made sure he could do this.
How awesome is he? I can't believe how lucky I am!!!! Now everyone go hug your husbands for all the wonderful things they have down for you!
Thanksgiving......
Friday was actually kinda fun. We got up at 3am and so did Daniel's mom. We took Logan with us and left Grant with his PaPa. Which I think they were both excited about. Lynn, Daniel's mom, waited in the car while Daniel and I stood in line at Toys R Us. About 10 minutes before the doors opened Lynn and Logan joined us in line. It was so crazy in there! But we got what we wanted or we got what the kids wanted! LOL Then we went to Target. After getting what we needed we got in line. And Logan fell asleep in my arms. So we are standing in this insanely HUGE line and I can't take it anymore so I head up front to go sit in the little food place with Logan because he is so heavy when he is asleep. Well, when I get up to where the lines are, I realized that there were other shorter lines. So I get in one and call Daniel to come up and get in line with the stuff. Well, while I am waiting someone gets in line behind me and after Daniel and Lynn join me with the buggy, the woman gives me attitude!!!!! It was crazy! I mean really, like she has never held a place in line for someone before! ugh, It made me a little mad.But I was polite and Daniel said that if she didn't want to wait in lines behind people then why is she out shopping on Black Friday. So we went to other stores and shopped and got home around Noon. Logan was the best little boy ever.
That was our Thanksgiving. Hope you all had a good one too!

Renn Fest 08
We went to the Renaissance Festival in North Carolina last weekend with Kelly, Paul, Kara and Jeremy. It was alot of fun. On the way there we ate at The Penguin which is this old resturant that the food network has had on their Diners, Drive In, and Dives show. Well, the resturant was super busy so we got our food to go and ate at a nearby park. Which I wasn't too keen on, but it was alot of fun. Here are pictures from the day. Some I took and some Paul took.
There is Grant getting fairy stones from the fairy for him and Logan. Logan wouldn't go up there!
We saw the jousting and sword act.
I took this picture! I thought it was really cool!
Grant and Logan were really into the show. Logan kept barking at the horses!!
This is when they were catching rings on thier lance.
My brave little man. Grant went on this kids jousting ride. He was really proud of himself and so were we!
There he is! Right after this picture he threw down the lance and hugged the "horse". I don't think he liked how fast the horse went on the line.
Paul took this picture. I love it! And I dont like pics of me!
This is a picture of Kelly, Kara and I at the festival. I like this pic of me too.
There are more pictures but just too many to put on here. I will try to upload them in my web album soon!

Lexington BBQ Festival
This picture we took for Kelly. We thought it was cool. It was next to the sand sculpture. I am not sure what building it was in front of but I thought it was cool that they had it on main street. They also had a booth for the Autism Society of North Carolina. You paid a dollar to pick a duck and get a prize. Grant got a glow in the dark bouncey ball and Logan got a spikey yellow ball.
It was the 25th annual festival. They had balloons like this all up and down Main Street. Logan kept asking to touch them! It was cute!
Grant and Logan got those frisbees for free. Logan's kept falling off his head. Oh, and just to share, we got Logan up that morning at 8am and he didn't nap till we were on our way home at like 3 that afternoon. He was such a good boy!!! Let's hope he does as well at the Renn Fest this weekend!!!!

LOGAN IS 16 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!
Logan is now 16 months old. We just had his check up. He is 33 inches tall and 25 pounds. He is the biggest 16 month old I have ever seen. But he isn't fat, he is solid. He loves to eat. He really like fried rice and fried chicken. He loves french fries. He likes fig newtons. He says ball, dada, bubba, mama, kitty, Nat (the cat's name), down, food, no ( sometimes), yes, booka (book), bumblebee, Pooh as in Winnie, PaPa CooCoo means cookie. He tries to say Kelly, Paul, and Grandma. We are working on it. When Grant comes home from school and we do homework at the table, Logan has to be in a chair at the table with a crayon or pencil and some paper coloring. It is so cute. I will be taking pictures of that soon. He is getting better about riding in the car. He doesn't scream when he wants something anymore, He can say That or this and he points at what he wants. He loves to sleep! Some days when he is tired, I can ask if he wants to go to bed, and he will run to his crib and try to climb in it! He takes a 2 hour nap everyday and sleeps like 12 hours a night. But he is so full of energy when he is awake! He wants to be just like Grant. He loves to look at books and be read to. His favorite shows are Handy Manny and Winnie the Pooh on disney. And he still loves his blankets! He has two of them in the crib with him at night!
There is Logan kissing the cat!
Logan and the cat.
Logan feeding himself!
Logan feeding himself again! He insisits on a spoon or fork all the time now! It is so CUTE!
I hope you enjoyed your update on Logan! Stay tuned for more :)Wednesday, September 24, 2008
